The book The Pearl By John Steinbeck is very different from the movie, however many distinct similarities can be found. Some similarities between Steinbeck's work and the movie is that childhood in the Indian culture is portrayed. Huana and Kino have the same strong relationship, and through both the book and the movie, violence is a problem. Differences in the book and the movie are that in the beginning of the movie, Kino starts out as a young boy, whereas in the book he is already a grown man. Juana and Kino are shown together as young children in the movie, and not in the book. Also, in the movie, coyotito did not die.
In the beginning of the movie, Kino starts out as a young boy. This is different, because in the book Kino's life is already into adulthood as he lives with his family, in which he enjoys the simple life, yet strives for survival as an Indian. The act of childhood being portrayed is similar in both the book and the movie however.
Essay Introduction:comparing %26amp; contrasting the movie the pearl and the book The Pearl by John Steinbeck. Good?
This is OK, not great.
Note that The Pearl needs to be underlined for the book, or in quotes for the movie.
I would suggest a better organization scheme - perhaps discuss things that were only in the book, or better in the book, then things that were only in/better in the movie. It would save a lot of jumping around.
The book { } and subsequent movie contain both similarities and differences.
