"The Movie"?

I am going to watch "The Movie" on a couple of days.

Some people are excited

Others arent

How should I feel?

The boys watched it today

I watched 2 of the "The Movies" already.

Will anyone laugh?

Will I laugh?

Is it going to be embarassing?

Not to mention I am at a new school and I am scared I will do something stupid.

13 minutes ago - 3 days left to answer.

FYI:

"The Movie a.k.a. Growth and Development" is a movie telling about what is going to happen to you and your friends.

Is there anything else in "The Move?"

Will we watch the same movie as the boys?

Should I call in sick?

The first time we watched different ones.

The next time we watched different ones

What will it be this time?

"The Movie"?
i went through all that with the movies and embarassing talks last year. think yourself lucky not to have to wath the movies WITH the guys. thats what we had to do and the teacher held up a bag of pads and tampons and explained how to use them WITH the boys there. she also had us label the male and female places DOWN THERE on sheets. LOL just chillax. they are good to watch coz you learn all you need to know. whatever you do DONT call in sick. u'll regret not finding out about all that. i thought it was all pretty funny. have fun LOL
Reply:dont worry its really informative and yes people laugh its a little uncomfotable to learn in front of people but when your older you wont mind its not that big of a deal
Reply:Why are they making you watch so many movies???

I used to teach 5th grade, it is the grade in Florida where you see "The Movie". The way we did it was the boys and the girls go in seperate rooms and watch the movie at the same time. I do not know what was in the boys movie because I was in the room with the girls and the male teachers were in the room with the boys.

The movie is actually pretty cheesy. There are a lot of different movies out there, but I can pretty much guarantee that any one you watch will have bad acting; in other words, it won't be like a movie that you would pick up off the shelf at blockbuster.

The movie we watched was mostly about puberty and getting your period, and what you can expect when all of that starts happening to you. It is a little wierd for the younger girls, but just think about it this way. Everything that they talk about in the movie will happen to every girl in there at some point in their life. So there is nothing to be embarrassed about at all.

After the movie, we had a nurse come in to answer some of the girls' questions. It was pretty simple and painless.
Reply:Well What grade are you in? Last year in 5th grade, all of the girls just watched a few puberty movies,no big deal. This year in 6th grade each class (boys and girls together...I think. I know they are for movie) has 'family life' (last year it was 'puberty class') which is basically about sex and getting pregnant and at the end we watch our 'the movie', which is a childbirth....awkward.....at my cousins school in the 8th grade everyone watches 'the movie' but I don't know what they watch.....I thought it would be childbirth but that would be kinda weird since 6th graders see that but I can't think of anything else they would show you except for porn.....but that obviously won't happen. I personally don't want to watch 'the movie' since we'll be with boys. I mean girls are more mature in my grade and if I was only with them I wouldn't have to worry about someone screaming 'EWWWW' in the background...
