What movie is this? Played on HBO this morning.?

I was watching a movie this morning at 7:30am (est) on HBO. I was bummed I had to go into work and couldn't finish watching it. It really got my attention. It had the deep southern accent little boy who played on Sling Blade and as an adult on Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift! His name in the movie is Pjo (spelling maybe off a little). The movie is based about a woman named Lucielle who changes her name to Carolyn and goes to Hollywood after she killer her husband. She totes the husbands head around in a $500 hat box. The movie also tells the story of the segregation going on in Alabama and a young man named Taylor Jackson gets killed by the sherriff when he just wanted to swim in the community pool. Anyways I want the name of the movie so I can look it up online and try to watch it haha. Thanks yall!

directed by Antonio Banderas, the plot revolves around an abused wife (played by Melanie Griffith) who heads to California to become a movie star while her nephew (played Lucas Black, the antagonist in Tokyo Drift) back in Alabama has to deal with a racially-motivated murder involving a corrupt sheriff.
