A very funny movie?

I am not very familiar with english movies. I remember a couple of years back, I saw a very funny english movie in a friends house and I hv tried searching for the name, but just cannot.


Let me give some description. Its a movie, I guess in africa. The actor and actresses small plane comes down and they get stuck in the forest. There's this poor black guy who offers to take her somewhere and she's riding in his bicycle alonwith chickens/hens and that scene is so funny. And there's one scene where they want to steal an ostrich egg cause they are hungry and they try so many things to steal it and in the end the mother ostrich comes running at them.


I was sure the name of the movie is "48 hours" but whenever I do a search for 48 hours, the serious movie comes up. I desperately want the name of this movie. This movie is too funny.

It sounds a little like "the Gods must be crazy", but I have seen it and that does not happen, so it could be "gods must be crazy 2"

Reply:A few of the things you mentioned sounds a lot like "Far off Place" starring Reese Witherspoon, 1993 . But there's nothing about a bicycle with chickens that I recall. And also, even though Far off Place has funny parts, it's serious too.
