I really like The Doors and Jim Morrison in general, I saw the Doors movie by Oliver Stone and traded it in to the used movie store. I hated how the movie incorrectly portrayed The Doors and especially the horrible way of showing Jim, it angered me that Oliver Stone would ruin their reputations and legacies like that, all while saying it is based on a true story. Even though I hate it so much, I sort of like the movie, that is I would if it wasn't supposed to be based off a The Doors. Should I re-buy the movie to watch or should I not support and give Oliver Stone money for doing such a thing.
Movie Question?
This dilemma is more common than you think. My advice would be to compartmentalise your feelings. You can like the movie without liking The Doors any less. If you feel strongly about Oliver Stone profitting from the movie, you can always buy the movie from a charity store (may need to shop around). You may even feel good about helping out a charity!
