Blockbuster online movie rentals?...?

I recently tried blockbuster's online movie rental program, and during the free trial, they were super fast! As soon as I would drop one off at blockbuster in exchange for another movie, they would send out another one by mail, before they had actually recieved it. (I would get the 'movie shipped' email before the 'movie recieved' email). Now that my trial is over, they won't seem to ship my movies until they actually recieve them, instead of when they scan it into blockbuster. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen, and is this their policy, to make the extra effort during the trial to hook the customer, then slack off once they're paying? Just wondering.....

I havn't had that really happen to me at all actually and I've been a member a while now. Sometimes the ones I mail back take a little longer to get there, but I assume that's just the fault of the USPS. Whenever I take it into a local blockbuster, I make sure they scan it right then. If they just set it aside or if you put it into the box, they may not scan it for a day or so, and that may be what's causing the delay.
Reply:I am a member for a while now, and I am very happy. whenever I bring it back to the store I get the new one pretty fast. Honestly it only happened one time that they were really late. the rest it fast. I think you should email them a complaint (online) and then they may pay more attention. I also think that the advice of the guy that told you to make sure they are scanning it on the spot, is a very good advice.
Reply:I actually noticed that, too. I stopped getting it because I really couldn't afford it anymore, and I finally got OnDemand in my area.
Reply:That's what Netflix did, now I use GreenCine. Depending where you live it may or may not happen to you.

Reply:I return mine to the Blockbuster, and its still fast. Keep in mind though that it could be slow for two reasons: no mail on Sundays, and when will the Blockbuster employee drop it in the mail for you? Also look on the return envelope, they may be going to different warehouses.
