Question about a childhood movie?

There is a movie I watched when I was little, does anyone know what it is called?





-It was an old anime cartoon movie about a little girl with a pet cat.


-She goes on trips that are fairy taleish.


-In one part of the movie she meets a giant mole.


-She had light brown hair and the cat was black I am pretty sure.


-It is an older movie probably made in the 80's or early 90's.


-It was on vhs with bad tracking.


-She carried a big book with her that had some importance which I cant remember.


-The title of the movie was the little girls name.


-The cat talked and was a smart mouth.


-They get lost in the woods.


-They also get shrunk down little and end up having the mole be really big compared to the little girl.


-At first the mole is nice but then he turns evil.


-I think there is a witch in the movie that is trying to get the little girl.





It is like thumbelina and hansel and gretal put together ... every weird movie

i got all excited while reading the begining of your question thinking that it was kikis delivery service...then i saw your ps. (%26gt;_%26lt;) it sounds like a movie that takes ideas from every childrens story and puts them together! not sure what it is though...sorrry!
