Why do movie critics take themselves seriously?

Is it me,or are you tired of movie critics? They tear apart movies that most people like,then praise movies that are boring and suck.What they're doing now is when a movie skips being seen by critics they assume it's because it's bad,and they still trash it.Movies are just for entertainment,to escape reality for an hour and a half.Why do we need critics to tell us what to like? I know I don't need their opinion,what about you?

Movie critis get payed to do what they do. For the most part they do sway the publics opinion on certian movies, I suppose they've gotten big heads from doing it. I think someone needs to tell the critics to shove it and we should start thinking for ourselves.
Reply:Like all people who get paid for their opinion they seem to believe thier veiws are the ONLY ones that count. I couldn't care less about what critics say...


And some of them (mind you i'm not saying a majority), even get paid to endorse or bash a movie.
