MOVIE LOVERS! Do you agree?

When youve been looking forward to a movie coming out to movies/cinema (usualy a prequal) and you look it up on imdb and wikipedia, about the production and the cast and the next bit of plot thats revealed each month...

then when you go see the movie for the 1st day it comes out it seems to be more disapointing. I think its cos youve been looking forward to the movie soo much and expecting £99999999 budget for it and it isnt as good as it seems. But if you had just saw it and not been that excited it seems to be amazing.

Happens to me, happend with me with Saw 4, and im sure saw 5 will be the same lol

MOVIE LOVERS! Do you agree?
i olike movie
Reply:I agree with you!! Prime example for me "Catch and Release." It was a decent enough movie but there was all this hype about it and it didn't live up to it but it was a good movie but I found myself disappointed.
Reply:Yes, I agree. I have decided not to read up on or watch a trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

as i don't want to be disappointed.
Reply:Yeah it happened to me for a few times. Same with games.

So I stopped and I love them so much better. :]
Reply:yeah i couldnt wait for King Kong to come out, and it ended up sucking, but it always good when you go to the movies with no expectations and end up seeing an awesome movie. I think alot of times you build it up so much in your head that it almost has no chance of being as good as you hope it will.
Reply:Thats why I don't do that. I wait until the movie comes out to see it and I don't go around spoiling myself or getting up my expectations.
Reply:uh saw was crap in the first place, i saw one and never saw any further, not my type of movie i suppose but it happens they hype up the movie so everyone is expecting something amazing and then its junk, sometimes it seems like them spend more on the previews then the movie
Reply:You will not believe how much I waited with eager anticipation for the release of 'Hot Fuzz'. I expected a movie that I would love and instead I saw a movie that was funny and likable, but not anywhere near as amazing as I'd hoped.

I try not to get my hopes up about films anymore, avoids disappointment, lol
Reply:Excellent analysis.
Reply:lol yea i agree so now i dont go to movie theater i go to free movie websites and just watch it for free so i dont waste my precious cash (watch-movies.net) and there are probaly more websites
Reply:yep. thats happend to me a few times. The one I remember the most is Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. I was so looking forward to that movie, and had been kept up to date with the everything.....but then when I saw it..it just wasnt as good as I thought. :S Wasnt the same as T2. Thats the same with the TV series of The Sarah Conner Chronicles (such a let down to the terminator series).
Reply:...and that's why you wait until the movies come out in military theaters. It's way cheaper, and you get a month to hear what other people say about it to decided if it's really worth going to.
Reply:Glad you mentioned IMDB, i always go there to check movie ratings and summary plots, casts, directors and such....
Reply:i totally agree with u ... u set ur expectations so high that if the movie is even gud u'll go like this movie sucked ;) lolz actually thats why i watch alot of movies online on http://www.movieplanets.com
Reply:Then maybe you should stay home until they start making more good movies instead of watered-down prequals and remakes. That's what I do.
