Movies where a character says the name of the movie within the movie..?

pretty lame, huh?

it made me cringe in 'gone baby gone'.

i think the only movie where it actually worked was in 'walk hard'.

what're your thoughts? and are there any other movies that have (or havent) pulled it off successfully?

Movies where a character says the name of the movie within the movie..?

I know that there are many more, but it's 5:30 a.m., and this headache says that I've been answering questions too long! Maybe I'll think of more. This is a tricky one! You could list people's names or locations, but it's difficult to recall if some of the more-unusual ones are spoken. Some appear in songs, but I didn't include those. "Call Me Irresponsible" is one that is sung, not said.

Actually, most titles sort of show up with no problems. Offhand, I can't think of any "ouchies".
Reply:~Ben Hur

~The Matrix

The list is endless.

But I am lazy
Reply:Rain Man

The Dark Crystal [Interesting fact - the name of its sequel ("Power of the Dark Crystal" - coming out 2009) is ALSO said in the original - "Look into the reflector, Podling - feel the power of the Dark Crystal."]

Forrest Gump

Ladyhawke

Where the Heart Is

On Golden Pond

The Breakfast Club

There are many more which I can't think of right now, and they are usually names of places, people and characters.
Reply:Independence Day
Reply:in the movies fight club and girl, interrupted they say it.

and it was pulled off successfully. =]
Reply:In "Moulin Rouge", they say it all the time. They even sing it sometimes. It works. In fact, it would be odd if they didn't say it.

The same goes for "Titanic".
Reply:wEIRD. I notice that all the time and it gets on my nerves. I usually like a movie more if it doesn't mention the title.
Reply:I think it works in

Walk the line

Untracable

Juno

Penelope

Saw

Devil's Rejects

Mean Girls

Heathers
