Movie you liked that everyone else hated and vice versa?

So I have two questions...

1) What is one movie you liked that everyone else seems to generally hate.

2) What is one movie you hate that everyone else seems to like.

Not asking for anyone to defend the merit or lack of merit in their choices but just want to see the diverse answers.

I will start out with my own answers.

1) movie I liked that everyone else hates = Blair Witch Project

2) movie I hated that everyone else likes = The Sixth Sense

btw by "everyone" I don't naturally mean everyone but a majority.

Movie you liked that everyone else hated and vice versa?
1) The Goonies -total classic

2) Napolean Dynamite- I fell asleep I was so f*cking bored
Reply:1) I like they hate-Kung Pow! Enter the Fist

2) They like I hate-The Matrix
Reply:Can't really say I have movies to use as examples but for me, everyone likes Family Guy and I seem to the only one that hates it. Seems like a conspiracy to me.

Reply:Titanic!

I despise this film! I was aghast at how dreadful it was in so many ways. One time was enough torment. I even yelled at my TV screen when certain things were said and done. I was rooting for Billy Zane to kill Leonardo Di Caprio. It's ridiculous to think that a woman of that level of society would end up climbing in the backseat of a car to make out with a guy she just met. And what's she doing "flipping the bird"?! And what about Leo shoving the praying guy aside, spouting his snotty little remark to the man?! That's a cheap shot that degrades the situation, as so many things do.

Besides, the plot was lifted from an episode of "The Time Tunnel". I am not kidding! Leo's romance with Kate, the jealous husband, Leo trapped belowdeck~It's all in a TTT episode, with James Darren in a Leoesque role. I'm sure that James Cameron must have seen this show, and the idea perhaps burrowed into his brain to emerge as one of the most overrated films of all time.

I'll stick with "A Night to Remember" or one of the other films about this incident. Even "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" was better!

I have to add another "hated it!": Independence Day. How many ripoffs (not homage!) did he get away with? His fake idea on that talk show is stolen from a miniseries titled V! He didn't have a brainstorm! He stole an idea! This isn't the first UFO attack on Washington, D.C.; Earth vs. the Flying Saucers is! I am not a Will Smith fan, and I thought this was an all-around-dreadful movie.

Now, what movie do I love that everyone else seems to hate? That's more difficult. I see a science fiction film hit "worst" lists a lot, and I think it's a gem of a film: The Monster That Challenged the World. Actually, there are more than one: giant mollusk creatures from the Salton Sea. I think the creatures are memorable, with great sound effects. A couple of the horrific shots still work. When I saw Deep Rising (which I love but a lot of people don't), I was reminded of Monster, especially when Treat Williams destroys the gargantuan critter's eye~even on the same side as in my low-budget b%26amp;w gem. To be honest: The creatures don't really get to "challenge the world". But, it's a catchy title, isn't i?

By the way: There are some great character actors in this one: Tim Holt, Audrey Dalton, Hans Conried, Max Showalter (aka Casey Adams),

Jody McCrea, Byron Kane, Milton Parsons,

Charles Herbert and Sarah Selby. Parsons is worth the whole film as the fellow with the records; I'll bet you'll say, "I've seen that guy before!"

I agree with a couple of people above: I hate Family Guy and Napoleon Dynamite. Please add The Simpsons to the list; it's "inspired" a mass of ugly, nasty, unpleasant, tributes to stupidity, including the show with the foul-mouthed children.
Reply:1) Actually like Aeon Flux despite all its problems.

2) Cannot stand Napoleon Dynamite.
Reply:Blind Date

Whale Rider
Reply:01. Movies I like, they hate.... "Dumb And Dumber"

02. Movies I hate, and everybody else like.... "High School Musical". The questions about the movie is like a plague virus here in Yahoo! Answers ( my apologies to fans...but I really don't like the movie).
